Archief Tango Classes at the Altembrouck Castle

OPENING NIGHT - 09.09.19 - Discover & deepen your dance in a hidden historic estate between hills and forest in the Belgian Voerstreek, close to Maastricht and Liège.

With Lucas Malec (Argentina) & Déborah van Cauter (Belgium)

The importance of the walk
7:30pm to 8pm
30 minutes of preparatory warm-up and individual technique as a preparation for the main class.
"Every Tango step draws its strength from our ability to walk through it." The goal of this training will be to discover, explore and master the use of your body in order to reveal all the elegance and expression from a simple walk.

The deep foundations of tango
8:00 pm to 9:00 pm
The act of dancing is a profound process that encompasses entire nature of the person. This involves the dancers' relationship with their primal impulse and improves the connection with their own bodies, the music and with the other. Through the beautiful language of Tango we will develop an ability to adapt, improvise and search for common harmony to share the pleasure of dancing together.

Towards a social tango
9:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Slightly guided practice.
We will propose several exercises to develop the circulation of the dance floor, the interaction of the dancers within the dynamic of a group, and the musical appreciation; in order to preserve the quality and balance of a social dance.

Couple registration required for the term.
Tuning up, Main class & Practica: 18€/ pers.
Only the Practica at the castle: 6€/pers.
